Cogito

Cogito is a student organization at NTNU focused on machine learning projects. I was a member for three semesters. The first two went to JARVIS, a project where we tried to build an AI assistant. In the last semester I was co team lead on team GRIP, where we used EMG sensors, which read the electrical signals sent to muscles, to predict arm movement. Four probes on the arm fed a model, and its predictions drove a 3D printed robot arm that mirrored whatever motion the network thought we had made.

It was a great project for learning how to set up experiments and collect training data. We compared several model types along the way, and got to do a fair bit of electronics and 3D printing work.
