Health Tech 2023

This was a two-week hackathon-style competition in March 2023, organized by DRIV NTNU and FOR (Fremtidens Operasjonsrom), now known as SIMUT (Senter for innovasjon, medisinsk utstyr og teknologi). My whole group dropped out along the way, so I finished the last few days of the competition solo.

I built a 3D printed attachment for a syringe that transmitted its accelerometer data wirelessly to a PC. The PC also ran a camera doing image recognition, realistically closer to just color recognition, to detect the position of the needle. Put together, it drew a simulated crosshair on screen showing where the needle was going to hit before you inserted it.
