Elsys 2024
I signed up for this hackathon with one person I knew from NTNU, and we were placed in a team with two others.
We built a smart bracelet for monitoring the health of cows, based on a micro:bit. The bracelet sent its measurements from the cow to a base station, which forwarded the data into InfluxDB and on to a Grafana dashboard, so we could visualize and alert on it quickly. We also worked on using Nordic Semiconductor nRF52 chips to measure the distance between the sensors over Bluetooth, with the idea of inferring what a cow was doing from its position and height.
We won the hackathon.
